This zine is based off of the Intelligence Squared debate: Abolish the Death Penalty. It features four debaters: Diann Rust-Tierney, Barry Scheck, Robert Blecker, and Kent Scheidegger. The first two were arguing for the motion and the latter two were arguing against the motion. In coming up with the aesthetic of this zine, Sharon Mathew and I drew upon the work of designer Mike McQuade. We wanted it to feel integrated into the language of prison forms through form layouts, thumbprints, and small boxes and circles. Sharon worked primarily with the layout and I worked mostly on the collage illustration.
